Iron Chef Battle: Tequila and Tortillas

Last night on Iron Chef America, Alexandra Raij of New York City tapas restaurants Txikito and El Quinto Pino challenged Iron Chef Jose Garces(paired with “The Modern Mixologist” Tony Abou-Ganim) in battle tequila and tortillas. Raij was paired with mixologist and liquor ambassador Charlotte Voisey.

I have no idea where to start with the Mixiote de Cigala. But I am going to mix up that pineapple margarita this weekend! Anyone wanna join us?

Pineapple Margarita

  • 2 oz lime juice, about 20 limes
  • 2 oz of yoru favourite tequila
  • 2 oz Triple Sec
  • 2 oz cups fresh pineapple juice
  • Fresh pineapple slices, for garnish

Directions

Combine the lime juice, tequila, triple sec, and pineapple juice. Fill a cocktail shaker 1/2-way with ice and fill 2/3 full with the margarita mixture. Shake for 30 seconds and pour into glasses. Decorate with fresh pineapple slices and serve ice cold.
