The Margarita is a classic and very famous cocktail always served in an original glass! It is a very refreshing cocktail, with a perfect balance of sweet and sour taste! Cointreau is a key ingredient in this recipe, using anything else is simply “not worth its salt”…

The original 1948 recipe was founded by Margarita Sames at a party in her Acapulco villa. She had the idea to mix fresh lime juice with her two favorite drinks: Cointreau and Tequila. Her cocktail kept the party during for two weeks!

RECIPE:

  • 1 oz Cointreau
  • 2 oz tequila
  • 3/4 oz lime juice

Shake and strain into a salt rimmed margarita glass, garnish with a lime. Fast and easy!
